Ancient civilization temple found in Khirbet Qeiyafa
The archaeologists uncovered another temple of the ancient civilization of the rest period set out in the holy book of Islam and Christianity. The temple was thought to have originated from the time of Prophet David.
Excavation (digging) was performed on the remains of Khirbet Qeiyafa about 3,000 years old. Located at a distance of approximately 19 miles (30 kilometers) south east of Jerusalem.
At Khirbet Qeiyafa, archaeologists revealed the existence of three large room serves as a shrine and artifacts, including tools, pottery and objects of worship.
The third temple was part of a wider use within the building complex. Artifacts also include five standing stones, two altar of basalt rock, two pottery and two portable shrines. A portable shrines made of pottery, while the other one made of stone.
The temple reflects the architectural style of the time of Prophet David (King David) and a proof of the first offerings in the future.The study was published in the book “Footsteps of King David in the Valley of Elah”.
The discovery offers a clue about ancient Israel who believe in one God and prohibit the use of human figures and animals. Because the temple was found not to save human and animal figures as atother sites. In fact there was no pig bones were found there.
