Prize of U.S. $ 10 million will be given to the lab that is able to accurately and economically sort the 100 human genomes to focus on people aged 100 years and discover Longevity Secrets.
Competition sponsored by Medco Health Solutions United States (U.S.) aims attainable standard of ‘cure’ for gene sequences that can be used to make all people live longer through personalized medicine.
“All the technology is purchased people currently gives slightly different answers. That is, the technology is not good enough for diagnostics, “said the pioneer geneticist Craig Venter. We work the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to bring genomics to the next level, he added.
This competition will measure the team’s lab with accuracy, cost, speed and perfection of gene sequencing. On January 3, 2013, the team participants will receive 100 genome and the results of this competition will be announced on February 3, 2013.
“We believe this competition will be the drivers of the era of personalized medicine,”
