A number of cultural heritage Chimu artifacts displayed at the Museum of Huaca de la Luna in Trujillo, Peru. According to Chairman of Project Archaeology, Oscar Gabriel Prieto, archaeologists unearthed the remains of ritual sacrifice to the sea and soil fertility.

Chimu is a culture that evolves around Trujilo around the year 900 AD. This culture became extinct in 1470 since the Inca forces led by Tupac Yupanqui Inca conquered the region.
