Despite suffering from cancer, this professor is still teaching
TEXAS – A professor at Texas, United States, continue to teach his students despite weak lying in a hospital.
William Kielhorn listed as a faculty member at LeTourneau University in eastern Texas. During the 45-year tenure, Kielhorn never once missed teaching. Kielhorn would not let his status as a patient’s intensive care unit (ICU) is breaking his record.
Male 79 years old is diagnosed with terminal colon cancer. Even so, Kielhorn decided to remain administer his class from his hospital bed.
ABC News quoted site Huffingtonpost, Saturday (5/7/2011) wrote, noting that impeccable teaching record was in danger, expert warns Kielhorn cancer, “I have a teaching schedule at three tomorrow.”
At that moment, his daughter, Martha Croft, and her granddaughter Courtney Bellamy, sending ideas to Kielhorn to administer its class via teleconference from the hospital facility. Approximately 15 students joined in a virtual class entitled “Manufacturing Processes” it.
In appreciation and recognition of his dedication Kielhorn, LeTourneau University intends to change the name of the welding lab on campus with his name.
